Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 12 ounces tortilla chips
  • 3 cups shredded cheese
  • 28 ounce can red enchilada sauce
  • 4 ounce can drained diced green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ cup salsa

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Brown ground beef and drain fat
  • Add green chilies, salsa, and cumin to beef; mix well
  • In large bowl, gently crush tortilla chips
  • Layer beef mixture over chips
  • Pour enchilada sauce into bowl
  • Add 1 cup cheese and mix gently
  • Prepare non-stick baking dish
  • Transfer mixture to dish
  • Sprinkle remaining 2 cups cheese on top
  • Cover with foil
  • Bake for 50 minutes
