Ingredients

  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • ¼ cup sliced halal deli turkey breast
  • ¼ cup sliced halal salami
  • ¼ cup sliced provolone cheese
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ⅓ cup thinly sliced red onion
  • ⅓ cup thinly sliced cucumber
  • ¼ cup jarred banana pepper rings
  • 2 tbsp sliced black olives
  • ⅓ cup Italian salad dressing
  • 3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese, divided
  • ½ tsp fresh cracked black pepper

Instructions

  • Prepare the vegetables: Wash and chop romaine lettuce into bite-size pieces. Slice cherry tomatoes in halves, thinly slice red onion and cucumber. Set aside.
  • Combine the base ingredients: In a large bowl, add romaine lettuce, halal deli turkey, halal salami, provolone cheese, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, banana pepper rings, and black olives. Toss gently to mix evenly.
  • Make the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together Italian salad dressing and 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese until fully combined.
  • Dress the salad: Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients. Toss gently but thoroughly to coat without bruising the lettuce.
  • Garnish and serve: Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese and fresh cracked black pepper. Serve immediately in individual bowls.

Notes

Choose fresh, crisp romaine for the best texture. Use halal-certified deli meats for authenticity. Adjust dressing quantity to taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day.
