Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons A1 steak sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz Velveeta or American cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk or evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon ranch seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped pickles
  • 1 jalapeño, diced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Sauté the diced onion and garlic in the same skillet until translucent.
  • Stir in A1 steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Reduce heat to low.
  • In a saucepan, combine cubed Velveeta, cheddar, cream cheese, milk, sour cream, mayonnaise, and pickle juice. Add ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until melted and smooth.
  • Fold the seasoned ground beef into the cheese mixture. Stir in pickles, green onions, and jalapeño.
  • Simmer on low for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Let the dip rest for 5 minutes to thicken. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
