Ingredients

  • 1 pound mild breakfast sausage (Halal)
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 10 ounces fire-roasted diced tomatoes and green chilies, well drained
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (two 8-ounce cans)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a bowl, combine cooled halal sausage, cream cheese, tomatoes/chilies, and parsley
  • Roll out one can of dough and cut into triangles
  • Slice each triangle in half to create narrower pieces
  • Place 1 tablespoon filling on each triangle
  • Roll dough from wide to narrow end and place on baking sheet
  • Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown
  • Let cool slightly before serving warm

Notes

Ensure sausages are fully cooled/crumbled before mixing
For flakier results, chill filled dough for 10 minutes before baking
Serve with ranch dressing or sour cream if desired
