Ingredients

  • ½ cup salted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 9 full-size Reese's peanut butter cups

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper
  • Beat melted butter and sugar until fluffy
  • Mix in vanilla and eggs one at a time
  • Sift and add flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder; combine gently
  • Spread half the batter in the pan, place peanut butter cups on top, cover with remaining batter
  • Bake 30-35 minutes until edges are set
  • Cool completely before cutting into 9-12 pieces
