Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8-count)
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup (light or dark)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg (for wash) + 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Combine pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon (if using), and salt in a bowl
  • Unroll dough, separate into 8 triangles
  • Place 1-1½ tsp pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle
  • Roll tightly into crescents, pinching ends to seal
  • Brush with egg wash and space evenly on baking sheet
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden
  • Cool for 5 minutes before serving

Notes

Avoid overfilling to prevent leaks
Substitute maple syrup for corn syrup for a vegan option
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days
Optional: Add 1/4 tsp maple extract instead of alcohol-based extracts
