Ingredients

  • 2 slices of white or sandwich bread
  • 2-4 slices of halal-certified olive-flavored deli meat
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese
  • Sliced green olives (optional)
  • Thin red onion slices (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise or butter (as desired)
  • Black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  • Spread mayonnaise or butter on one side of each bread slice
  • Place 2-4 slices of halal olive-flavored deli meat on one bread slice
  • Top with cheddar cheese
  • Add green olives and/or red onion slices if using
  • Season lightly with black pepper
  • Press the second bread slice onto the top, butter/mayo-side down
  • Serve as is or toast in a panini press for 3-5 minutes until golden

Notes

Use halal-certified deli meats instead of traditional pork-based olive loaf
Toast for a warmer, crispier texture
Stores well in the fridge for up to 2 days
Adjust meat and cheese slices to preference
