Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare your pan: Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray and set it aside.
  • Combine sugar and milk: Pour 2 cups of sugar and ½ cup of milk into a heavy saucepan. Place the pan over medium heat.
  • Boil the mixture: Stir the sugar and milk constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Continue boiling for exactly 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat: Immediately take the saucepan off the heat after 3 minutes of boiling.
  • Add remaining ingredients: Quickly stir in 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, 3 tablespoons of butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir vigorously until the mixture becomes smooth and begins to thicken.
  • Pour and spread: Quickly pour the fudge mixture into the greased pan. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
  • Cool and set: Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours or until fully set and firm to the touch.
  • Cut and serve: Once set, cut the fudge into 16 squares and serve.

Notes

For best texture, use whole or 2% milk and creamy peanut butter.
If your kitchen is warm, consider letting the fudge set for a little longer to ensure it's firm.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
