Ingredients

  • 1 pound 80% lean ground beef
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (orange/yellow mix)
  • 1 box McCormick Brown Gravy mix
  • 15 oz can Del Monte Sweet Corn
  • 4 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Peel and dice potatoes; boil until tender (~15 minutes). Drain and blend with butter, milk, salt, and pepper into creamy mashed potatoes.
  • Heat skillet, cook ground beef until browned; drain grease.
  • Prepare McCormick gravy mix according to package instructions and mix with cooked beef.
  • Heat drained sweet corn until steaming.
  • In a bowl, mound mashed potatoes at center. Arrange corn around the top edge. Spoon beef gravy mixture over potatoes. Top with shredded cheddar cheese until melted.

Notes

Gravy mix contains maltodextrin (from corn), suitable for halal diets.
Vegetarian alternative: Substitute cooked lentils for beef and use vegetable broth in gravy.
Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 4 days.
