  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon halal Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Peel peaches by scoring an 'X' on the bottom, blanching in boiling water for 30 seconds, then transferring to ice water and peeling off skins before dicing
  • Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat until a gentle simmer forms
  • Reduce heat and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened
  • Remove from heat and use an immersion blender directly in the saucepan to puree until smooth
  • Let cool completely before transferring to an airtight container

Notes

Use halal-certified Worcestershire sauce such as Lea & Perrins (check for anchovy-free versions)
Adjust cayenne pepper to personalize heat level
Store in air-tight containers for up to 10 days in refrigerator
Ideal for brushing over grilled tempeh, tofu, or vegetables (like cauliflower steaks)
