  • 1/2 cup halal-friendly BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 jalapeño, finely diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 block cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • Crackers, pretzel chips, tortilla chips, or toasted baguette, for serving
  • Sliced jalapeños, for topping
  • Chopped green onions or parsley, for garnish
  • Extra hot honey drizzle, optional

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add dried jalapeño and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
  • Stir in peach preserves, BBQ sauce, hot honey, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard.
  • Season with smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Simmer gently for 6-8 minutes, stirring often until glossy and thickened.
  • Place softened cream cheese on a serving plate or jar.
  • Pour the warm sauce directly over the cream cheese.
  • Garnish with sliced jalapeños, green onions, or parsley.
  • Serve with crackers or chips.
