Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced roast beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 to 6 hamburger buns, toasted
  • Butter, for toasting buns
  • 1 bag frozen curly fries (about 20 to 25 ounces)
  • 1/4 cup milk, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C)
  • Lay roast beef on aluminum foil packets and seal
  • Warm foil packets on baking sheet for 8 minutes
  • Heat cheddar cheese in a saucepan over medium heat until melted, adding milk if desired
  • Butter inside buns and toast in skillet or oven
  • Cook frozen curly fries per package instructions
  • Layer warm roast beef in buns, drizzle with cheese sauce, and serve with fries

Notes

Toaster oven works well for warming beef packets
For softer sautéed cabbage, substitute for fries if desired
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days
