Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons caramel simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 8 ounces coffee or cold brew, chilled
  • 1 cup ice cubes (add more if desired)
  • 2 tablespoons half and half or your favorite creamer (dairy or plant-based)

Instructions

  • Prepare your coffee: Brew your favorite coffee and allow it to cool, or use cold brew coffee for a smoother, less acidic base.
  • Add caramel syrup: In a tall glass, pour 2 tablespoons of caramel simple syrup. For an attractive look and enhanced flavor, drizzle the syrup down the inside sides of the glass instead of pouring it straight to the bottom.
  • Pour the coffee: Carefully add 8 ounces of chilled coffee or cold brew on top of the caramel syrup in your glass.
  • Add ice: Fill the glass with 1 cup of ice cubes. Feel free to add more ice if you prefer your iced coffee extra cold and refreshing.
  • Pour cream or creamer: Add 2 tablespoons of half and half or your favorite milk or creamer over the ice and coffee mixture.
  • Mix and taste: Stir everything gently to blend the caramel sweetness with the coffee and cream. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more caramel syrup if desired.
  • Enjoy: Sip slowly and savor the delightful balance of caramel, cream, and bold coffee flavors.

Notes

Use freshly brewed or quality cold brew coffee for better flavor.
Make your own caramel simple syrup by combining equal parts sugar and water with caramel flavor or gently caramelize sugar for a richer taste.
Chill coffee thoroughly to prevent melting the ice.
