Ingredients

  • 4 thick 1-inch beef sirloin chops
  • 4 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon no-alcohol soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon halal Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (for greasing)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Lightly grease a baking dish with 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • Pat chops dry, season both sides with salt and pepper
  • Arrange chops in a single layer in the dish
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon brown sugar over each chop
  • Place 1 tablespoon butter on top of the sugar on each chop
  • Drizzle no-alcohol soy sauce and halal Worcestershire sauce evenly over the chops
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 40 minutes
  • Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes for a golden crust
  • Rest chops for 5 minutes before serving

Ensure soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce are certified halal and alcohol-free
Use a meat thermometer to confirm internal temperature reaches 145°F
