Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Chopped onions
  • Chopped bell peppers
  • Ketchup
  • Worcestershire sauce (halal-certified)
  • Mustard
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Brown sugar
  • Hamburger buns (whole wheat optional)

Instructions

  • Brown ground beef in skillet over medium heat
  • Add onions and bell peppers, sauté for 5 minutes
  • Drain excess grease
  • Transfer mixture to crockpot
  • Mix in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar
  • Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours
  • Warm buns slightly and serve patties with a spoonful of sauce

Notes

For halal option, use halal-certified ground beef and vegetarian Worcestershire sauce
Bell peppers can be omitted or substituted with diced green onions
Let mixture rest for 10 minutes before mounding onto buns to prevent sogginess
Store leftovers in airtight containers for 3-4 days in fridge
