Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Salsa, for serving
  • Sour cream, for serving
  • Optional toppings: diced onions, jalapeƱos, pickles, extra shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, nacho cheese sauce, hot sauce, halal turkey bacon crumbles, green onions

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the ground beef, breaking into small crumbles with a spatula
  • Drain excess grease from the skillet
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning over the beef, stir until fully coated. Remove from heat
  • Place tortillas on a clean work surface
  • Divide seasoned beef evenly onto the center of each tortilla
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef, followed by crushed Doritos and desired optional toppings
  • Fold tortillas in half, pressing gently to adhere. Cook in the skillet for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and crispy
  • Serve with salsa and sour cream

Notes

For halal compliance, substitute turkey bacon for pork-containing ingredients.
Adjust Doritos quantity based on desired crunchiness.
Cooking time may vary depending on tortilla thickness and pan temperature.
