Ingredients

  • 2 glazed donuts
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices halal-compliant turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  • Cook the bacon in a cold skillet over medium heat until crispy (5-7 minutes). Place on paper towels to drain.
  • Slice each donut horizontally and toast cut sides in the same skillet (1-2 minutes per side).
  • Assemble sandwiches by layering 2 cheese slices, bacon, and 2 cheese slices between the donut halves.
  • Melt ½ tbsp butter in the skillet over low-medium heat. Grill each sandwich 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

Notes

For extra crunch, toast the donut slices longer (but not burnt). Adjust maple syrup quantity to taste.
