Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt
  • In a large bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients on low speed
  • Fold in chocolate chips using a rubber spatula
  • Divide dough into 12 portions, roll into 6-7" ropes
  • Twist each rope 2-3 times and place on baking sheets
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden
  • Cool for 5 minutes before transferring

Notes

Use parchment paper for easy release and non-stick baking
Twist dough gently to maintain shape
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days
