Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 (32-ounce) bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Prepare the chicken mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir ingredients together until fully blended
  • Add vegetables and cheese: Gently fold in the frozen mixed vegetables and half of the shredded cheddar cheese
  • Assemble in baking dish: Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread the chicken and vegetable mixture evenly
  • Top with tater tots: Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the chicken mixture
  • Add remaining cheese: Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese over the tater tots
  • Bake: Place in preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes
  • Cool and garnish: Let cool slightly, then sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving

Notes

Ensure the chicken is fully cooked before shredding.
If desired, thaw the tater tots for 10 minutes for crispier results.
