Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
  • 8 oz cooked turkey ham or halal ham, diced
  • 2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded, divided
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Mix cooked chicken, diced ham, and 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese. Spread in the dish
  • Whisk cream, broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional Dijon mustard (1-2 tsp)
  • Pour sauce over chicken mixture. Sprinkle remaining cheese and optional breadcrumb-butter topping
  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly
  • Let rest 5-10 minutes before serving

Notes

Use halal or turkey ham to avoid pork. Omit Dijon mustard or substitute with alcohol-free version. Leftovers freeze well in airtight containers.
