Ingredients

  • 1 (10-ounce) jar maraschino cherries with stems
  • 1/4 cup halal or non-alcoholic vodka
  • 5 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or discs
  • 1/4 cup blue sanding sugar

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cherries: Drain about 1/3 cup of juice from the jar, leaving the cherries inside. Pour vodka into the jar in place of the removed juice. Replace the lid tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight to infuse the cherries with vodka flavor.
  • Dry the Cherries: After marinating, remove the cherries from the jar and thoroughly pat them dry with paper towels to ensure the chocolate adheres well.
  • Prepare the Tray: Line a tray or baking sheet with parchment paper where the dipped cherries will rest and set.
  • Melt the White Chocolate: Place the white chocolate melting wafers or discs in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat at 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each until the chocolate is completely smooth and melted.
  • Dip Each Cherry: Hold each cherry by its stem and dip about three-quarters of the cherry into the melted white chocolate. Immediately after, dip the chocolate-covered bottom part of the cherry into the blue sanding sugar, coating it evenly.
  • Set and Chill: Place dipped cherries on the parchment-lined tray. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until the white chocolate is firm and set.
  • Serve: Serve the Cherry Bombs chilled for best flavor and texture. Enjoy!

Notes

Ensure halal or non-alcoholic vodka is used to meet dietary restrictions.
Make sure the cherries are completely dry before dipping to ensure the chocolate sticks properly.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
