Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked halal sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1 lb red potatoes, diced
  • 1 packet (about 1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet
  • Combine sliced sausage, diced potatoes, onion, olive oil, ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl
  • Spread mixture on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then stir to promote even browning
  • Return to oven and bake 10-15 minutes until golden brown
  • Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top and bake 5 more minutes until cheese is bubbly
  • Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot

Notes

Use red potatoes for best texture
Stir halfway for even browning
Optional: Brush top with oil before broiling for extra crunch
