Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, steamed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded (optional)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly
  • In a large bowl, combine rice, steamed broccoli, and cooked chicken (if using)
  • Add 1½ cups cheddar cheese and mix until combined
  • Pour in cream of chicken soup and milk; stir to create a creamy texture
  • Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper
  • Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish; spread evenly
  • Sprinkle remaining ½ cup cheddar cheese on top
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes
  • Remove foil and bake 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly
  • Let rest 5-10 minutes before serving

Notes

Steam broccoli until crisp-tender to maintain color and crunch
Freshly shredded cheese melts better than pre-grated
