Ingredients

  • 6 cups apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp apple pie spice, divided
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ¾ cup quick oats
  • ½ cup salted butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat grill to 350°F, oven to 400°F, or prepare campfire coals.
  • Prepare apple filling: Toss apples with 3 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp granulated sugar, and 2 tsp apple pie spice.
  • Make crisp topping: Combine flour, ¾ cup brown sugar, oats, ½ tsp apple pie spice, and melted butter.
  • Assemble foil packets: Divide apple filling into 6 packets, then top each with ½ cup crisp topping.
  • Seal packets tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  • Cook on grill over coals for 20 minutes, or in oven for 15-20 minutes.
  • Rest 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes
