Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, sliced thin (flank steak or sirloin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ½-¾ cup water (optional for beef tenderizing)
  • ¼ cup cooking oil (vegetable, canola, or avocado oil)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Knorr Liquid Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine oyster sauce, Knorr Liquid Seasoning, sugar, and sesame oil. Add sliced beef and mix until coated. Add cornstarch and stir until glossy. Set aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ginger, stir 20 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli and toss 1-2 minutes until tender-crisp. Set aside.
  • Add remaining oil to skillet. Cook marinated beef in batches 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Add broccoli, remaining marinade, and ½ cup water. Simmer 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.

Notes

Use a non-stick skillet for easy cleanup.
Adjust water quantity for desired sauce thickness.
Substitute tamari for Knorr Liquid Seasoning if preferred.
Omit sesame oil for a lighter flavor profile.
