Ingredients

  • 1 box angel food cake mix (10.5 oz)
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • In a large bowl, mix angel food cake mix and cherry pie filling until just combined
  • Pour batter into an ungreased 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Bake for 28-30 minutes or until golden and springs back when pressed
  • Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack
  • Spread thawed whipped topping over the cooled cake and serve

Notes

Use thawed whipped topping for smooth spreading
Cool the cake fully before adding topping
