TRASH SNACK MIX RECIPE

Ingredients:

• 2 cups Corn Chex cereal
• 2 cups Cheerios cereal
• 2 cups mini pretzel twists
• 1 cup dry roasted salted peanuts
• 2½ cups regular M&M’s candies
• 24 oz vanilla almond bark or vanilla candy coating

Instructions:

1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
2. In a very large bowl, combine Corn Chex, Cheerios, pretzels, peanuts, and M&M’s. Gently toss to mix evenly.
3. Break the vanilla almond bark into pieces and melt according to package directions (microwave in short intervals, stirring between, until smooth).
4. Pour the melted candy coating over the snack mix.
5. Using a spatula, gently fold until everything is evenly coated.
6. Spread the mixture into an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Let set at room temperature until fully hardened, about 30–45 minutes.
8. Once set, break into bite-size pieces.

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Variations

• Swap peanuts for cashews or almonds
• Use chocolate almond bark instead of vanilla
• Add mini marshmallows after coating has slightly cooled
