Ingredients
• 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
• 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
• 1 packet active dry yeast (2¼ teaspoons)
• 3 cups all-purpose flour (approx.)
• 1 large egg
Instructions

Warm the milk until just lukewarm. Stir in the sugar and yeast, then let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Add the salt, butter, egg, and about 2½ cups of the flour. Mix until a soft dough forms. Add more flour only if needed.

Knead the dough for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

Punch down the dough and divide it into 12–15 balls. Arrange them in a greased baking dish.

Cover and let rise for 30–40 minutes.

Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown.
