Ingredients:
Crust Layer:
- 2 cups crushed graham crackers or vanilla wafers
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Cream Cheese Layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
Strawberry Layer:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
Top Layer:
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
- Additional strawberries for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Crust:
In a bowl, mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter until evenly combined.
Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust.
Refrigerate for 15 minutes to set. - Make the Cream Layer:
Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
Spread evenly over the chilled crust. - Prepare the Strawberry Layer:
Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water.
Stir in cold water and let it cool slightly (do not let it set).
Fold in the sliced strawberries. - Assemble:
Pour the strawberry mixture gently over the cream cheese layer.
Spread evenly and refrigerate until set, about 2–3 hours. - Add the Top Layer:
Spread whipped topping over the set strawberry layer.
Garnish with additional fresh strawberries if desired. - Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate for at least 1 more hour before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Ensure the gelatin layer is slightly cooled before adding to avoid melting the cream layer.
- For added flavor, use vanilla wafers instead of graham crackers.
