Strawberry–Honey Jalapeño Jam

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and finely chopped
  • 1–2 fresh jalapeños, finely minced (seeds removed for mild heat)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions:

  1. Add strawberries, jalapeños, honey, lemon juice, and water to a medium saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the strawberries break down and release their juices, about 8–10 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring often, until the mixture thickens to a jam-like consistency, about 10–15 minutes.
  4. Mash lightly with a spoon or potato masher for a smoother texture, if desired.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. The jam will thicken further as it cools.
