Ingredients:
- ½ cup butter, softened
 - 3 cups powdered sugar
 - 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
 - ¼ tsp peppermint extract (adjust to taste)
 - Red gel food coloring
 
Instructions:
- Whip the Butter:
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until light and creamy. - Mix Ingredients:
Gradually add the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and peppermint extract. Continue mixing until a firm, smooth dough forms. - Color and Shape:
Divide the dough into two portions — keep ¾ white and tint ¼ red with gel food coloring.
Roll both into long, thin ropes, then twist them together to create a candy cane effect.
Cut into small bite-sized pieces. - Dry and Set:
Lay the mints on a parchment-lined tray and let them air-dry for 1–2 hours.
Once slightly firm, let them dry for another 24 hours to fully set.
