Sausage Dipped Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups pancake mix (prepared according to package directions)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in cheese until melted and well combined with the sausage.
  3. Prepare pancake batter as directed on the box.
  4. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.
  5. Pour a small circle of pancake batter, then add a spoonful of the sausage mixture in the center.
  6. Cover with more pancake batter to seal the sausage inside.
  7. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with maple syrup for that sweet & savory win.

Tips & Variations:

  • Swap sausage for crispy bacon crumbles.
  • Add diced jalapeños for a spicy kick .
  • Try it with honey butter instead of syrup for a richer flavor.
