Puff Pastry Pesto Christmas Trees

Ingredients

(Makes about 10–12 trees)

  • 1 roll puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 3–4 tablespoons basil pesto
  • 2 tablespoons Parmigiano cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400°F.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet over parchment paper.
  3. Spread the basil pesto evenly across the pastry using a spoon or spatula.
  4. Sprinkle the grated Parmigiano cheese on top.
  5. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide.
  6. Fold and shape each strip into a Christmas tree (zig-zag pattern). Insert a skewer or stick in the middle if desired.
  7. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  8. Cool slightly, then serve warm or at room temperature.
