Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or shaved steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 8 oz (225 g) white mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup (120 ml) beef broth
- 1 cup (115 g) shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup (115 g) shredded provolone
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and brown the beef. Drain fat if needed.
- Add onion, both bell peppers, and mushrooms. Sauté 5–6 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
- Stir in salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Lower the heat and stir in cream cheese until melted and creamy.
- Transfer everything to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with mozzarella, provolone, and oregano.
- Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until bubbly and melted.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot with bread, rice, or salad.
