Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
Instructions:
1. Mix the Dough
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Stir to combine. Add warm water, condensed milk, melted butter, and eggs. Mix with a spoon or spatula for about 2 minutes until a sticky, well-combined dough forms. No kneading required.
2. First Rise
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 to 1½ hours, or until doubled in size.
3. Shape
Grease a loaf pan or baking dish. Gently stir the dough to deflate slightly. Transfer dough to the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
4. Second Rise
Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes, until puffy.
5. Bake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown on top and cooked through. If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
6. Cool and Serve
Remove from oven and brush with a little melted butter if desired. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serving Suggestions
Delicious warm with butter, jam, or honey. Also perfect for sandwiches or toasted with a spread of cream cheese.
Storage
Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze slices for up to 2 months.
