Melted Cheese BBQ Brisket Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cooked brisket, shredded
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup caramelized onions
    Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Mix the shredded brisket with BBQ sauce in a bowl. Set aside.
    Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Grill the sourdough bread slices, toasting each side until golden and crispy.
  3. Once toasted, layer the BBQ brisket mixture on two slices of bread, top with caramelized onions and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Place the remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches.
    Grill the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes per side until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
  5. Slice and serve warm for a delicious melt!
