Ingredients:
- 1 loaf French bread
- Mayonnaise or butter
- Garlic powder
- Dried parsley
- Assorted deli meats
- Sliced or shredded cheese
- 8 oz shredded lettuce
- Red onion, sliced
- Pepperoncinis, chopped
- Pickles, chopped
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- Submarine dressing
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice French bread in half and hollow out the inside.
- Spread mayo or butter on the bread. Sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley. Bake for 5–7 minutes until lightly toasted.
- Add meats and cheese, then return to oven for 5 minutes until melted.
- In a bowl, mix lettuce, red onion, pepperoncinis, pickles, mayonnaise, submarine dressing, and red pepper flakes.
- Remove sandwich from oven and top with vegetable mixture.
- Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan. Slice and serve.
