Loaded Sub Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • Mayonnaise or butter
  • Garlic powder
  • Dried parsley
  • Assorted deli meats
  • Sliced or shredded cheese
  • 8 oz shredded lettuce
  • Red onion, sliced
  • Pepperoncinis, chopped
  • Pickles, chopped
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • Submarine dressing
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice French bread in half and hollow out the inside.
  2. Spread mayo or butter on the bread. Sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley. Bake for 5–7 minutes until lightly toasted.
  3. Add meats and cheese, then return to oven for 5 minutes until melted.
  4. In a bowl, mix lettuce, red onion, pepperoncinis, pickles, mayonnaise, submarine dressing, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Remove sandwich from oven and top with vegetable mixture.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan. Slice and serve.
