Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) whole green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk or heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 cups crispy fried onions
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
- Gently fold in the drained green beans.
- Spread half of the mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the cheese.
- Add remaining beef mixture and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Remove from oven, top with crispy fried onions, and return to oven for 5–7 minutes until golden.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
