Gooey Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie

Ingredients:

For the Dough

  • 2 cans original cinnamon rolls (reserve icing packets)

For the Filling

  • 1 can apple pie filling

For the Topping

  • Cinnamon sugar, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a standard pie dish.
  2. Create the Crust
    Separate one can of cinnamon rolls. Flatten each roll and press them into the bottom of the pie dish, sealing edges together to form one even crust.
  3. Add the Filling
    Spoon the apple pie filling evenly over the cinnamon roll crust.
  4. Add Extra Spice
    Sprinkle cinnamon sugar generously over the apples for extra warmth and flavor.
  5. Top It Off
    Pull apart the second can of cinnamon rolls into pieces and scatter them evenly over the top, creating a rustic cobbler-style layer.
  6. Bake
    Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are puffed and golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  7. Finish with Icing
    Remove from the oven and drizzle the reserved icing over the pie while still warm.
  8. Cool Slightly & Serve
    Let cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
