Ingredients
- 1 lb medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed
- 1 lb spaghetti noodles (adjust as needed)
- 6–8 garlic cloves, minced (adjust to taste)
- ¼ cup butter
- 2–3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or to taste)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (for a little heat)
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water. - Cook the shrimp:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. - Combine everything:
Add the cooked pasta directly into the skillet with the shrimp. Toss to combine, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. - Finish and serve:
Sprinkle with parsley and grated Parmesan. Serve immediately while warm.
Serving Suggestions
- Pair with garlic bread or a fresh green salad.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice for extra freshness.
