Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed
  • 1 lb spaghetti noodles (adjust as needed)
  • 6–8 garlic cloves, minced (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2–3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (for a little heat)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. Cook the shrimp:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through.
  3. Combine everything:
Add the cooked pasta directly into the skillet with the shrimp. Toss to combine, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  4. Finish and serve:
Sprinkle with parsley and grated Parmesan. Serve immediately while warm.

Serving Suggestions

  • Pair with garlic bread or a fresh green salad.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice for extra freshness.
  • For a creamy version, stir in ½ cup of heavy cream before adding the pasta.
