Elf’s Campfire S’mores Cocoa

Ingredients: 

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, depending on desired sweetness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (plus extra for topping)
  • Chocolate syrup or melted chocolate (for drizzling)
  • Crushed graham crackers (for rimming the glass)
  • Chocolate shavings or chips (optional, for garnish)

Instructions :

  1. Make the Hot Cocoa Base
    In a saucepan, heat the whole milk and heavy cream over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  2. Add the Chocolate
    Whisk in the semi-sweet chocolate chips (or cocoa powder) and sugar. Stir until fully melted and smooth.
    Add the vanilla extract and cinnamon, then mix well.
  3. Prepare the Glasses
    Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs.
    Rim each mug with chocolate syrup, then dip the rim into the graham cracker crumbs to coat.
  4. Assemble the S’mores Cocoa
    Pour the hot cocoa into the prepared mugs.
    Top with mini marshmallows and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs.
    Drizzle with chocolate syrup and add extra mini marshmallows if desired.
  5. Garnish and Serve
    If desired, lightly toast the marshmallows using a kitchen torch for a campfire flavor.
    Garnish with chocolate shavings or additional graham cracker crumbs.
