Easy Chicken and Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breasts
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ tsp each: salt, pepper, oregano, thyme
  • 1 tsp each: paprika, onion powder, garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to thin them out. Season lightly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Whisk in flour and cook for a couple minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Slowly pour in the chicken broth and whisk until smooth. Add salt, pepper, oregano, thyme, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  4. Once the gravy begins to bubble, add the chicken. Coat well, cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook 12–15 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F.
  5. Shred chicken and serve over mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
