CROCK POT SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS

Ingredients :

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 oz packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can (14 oz) low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) low-sodium cream of chicken soup
  • 1 oz packet dry pork gravy mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

To Thicken the Gravy:

  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp cold water

Instructions :

  1. Make the Gravy Base
    In a 5–6 quart oval slow cooker, whisk together:

  • Onion soup mix
  • Chicken broth
  • Cream of chicken soup
  • Pork gravy mix
  1. Season the Pork Chops
    Sprinkle garlic powder on both sides of the pork chops.

  2. Layer the Pork Chops
    Place the seasoned pork chops into the slow cooker, doing your best to spread them out in the gravy mixture.

  3. Cook Low & Slow
    Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours, until pork chops are tender.

  4. Thicken the Gravy
    About 30 minutes before serving:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and cold water until smooth.
  • Pour the slurry into the slow cooker and stir gently.
  • Turn the slow cooker to HIGH, cover again, and cook for another 30 minutes until the gravy thickens.
