Ingredients:
2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
2 tablespoons chopped green onions or parsley (optional)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mixture
In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, and egg. Add the green onions or parsley if using.
2. Season
Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
3. Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into small patties.
4. Cook the Patties
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 3–4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
5. Serve
Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Serving Suggestions
Serve warm with a side salad, fries, or inside a sandwich bun with lettuce and tomato. These patties also pair well with tartar sauce, ranch dressing, or a squeeze of fresh lemon.
