Crème Brûlée Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  • Combine flour and salt; gradually add to the batter.
  • Pour batter into the pan and bake 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cake cool completely.
  • Whip heavy cream and spread over the cake.
  • Sprinkle a thin layer of sugar on top and caramelize with a kitchen torch.
