Creamy Cottage Cheese Crusted Chicken Cutlets

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced thin
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Season the chicken cutlets on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread cottage cheese evenly over each piece of chicken, pressing lightly so it adheres.
  4. In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika.
  5. Press each cottage-cheese-coated cutlet into the breadcrumb mixture until well coated.
  6. Place cutlets on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C).
  8. For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end, watching closely.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh green salad.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice on top just before serving for a bright finish.

Optional Variations

  • Use seasoned or panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • Add grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture for more flavor.
  • Pan-fry in a little olive oil over medium heat for a crispier crust if preferred.
