Crab Rangoon Dip (Hot Crab Dip)

Ingredients:

  • 14 oz finely chopped crab meat (fresh or imitation)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 1/3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 3 Tbsp chopped green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • Homemade Wonton Chips
  • Wonton wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl (or directly in a casserole dish), mix crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, 1 cup mozzarella, green onions, garlic, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Spread evenly in a baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  4. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  5. Let cool for 3–4 minutes, then drizzle with sweet chili sauce and garnish with extra green onions if desired.
  6. Serve hot with wonton chips, crackers, or tortilla chips.

  8. Cut wonton wrappers in half diagonally to form triangles.
  9. Heat oil to about 325°F (165°C).
  10. Fry wontons in batches for 45–60 seconds until golden.
  11. Drain on paper towels, sprinkle lightly with salt, and serve.
