Ingredients:
- 6 slices white bread, crusts removed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 Tbsp butter
- Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions:
- Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread until thin and flexible.
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Spread the filling evenly over each slice of bread. Roll up tightly and gently press to seal.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off, then place seam-side down in the skillet.
- Cook, turning gently, until golden brown on all sides, about 1–2 minutes per side.
- Serve warm with maple syrup for dipping or drizzling.
