Cinnamon Roll Apple “Lasagna”

Ingredients:

For the Apple Filling

  • 4 cups peeled, diced apples (about 4 medium apples)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the Cinnamon Roll Layers

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing), cut into quarters

Optional Topping

  • Extra icing from the cinnamon roll cans
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped topping for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Make the apple filling:
In a medium bowl, combine diced apples, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Toss until the apples are evenly coated. Set aside.
  3. Create the first layer:
Spread half of the quartered cinnamon rolls evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Add apples:
Spoon half of the apple mixture over the cinnamon roll layer.
  5. Repeat layers:
Add the remaining cinnamon rolls, followed by the rest of the apple mixture.
  6. Bake:
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes, until the cinnamon rolls are cooked through and the apples are bubbly and tender.
  7. Finish with icing:
Drizzle the icing over the warm dessert just before serving.
