Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Maraschino cherries (halved), for topping
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until creamy and smooth.
- Stir in the cornstarch and flour until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Gently press a cherry half into the center of each cookie.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are just lightly golden.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For extra melt-in-your-mouth texture, avoid overbaking.
- Dough may be chilled for 10–15 minutes if too soft to shape.
